So apparently they didn't actually enter the catacombs in the last episode although it really seemed like they did... Anyway, they're still on their way to Mt. Thundar but this time the Quest is in a sort of ravine or something? Beerandair gives his council to Prothal as the Quest decides how best to approach the mountain.
